The truth is I was never really a big house plant fan. To me through growing up house plants always meant some sad ficus or an even sadder fake one LOL! I was however a big gardener so my intro to house plants grew from a desire to grow fruit outside of my region. From here I started slowly incorporating house plants into our home and decor.<\/p>\n

The biggest thing that made my houseplant love explode was when I learned of the air quality benefits they provide. Especially given we live up north where our windows are closed a great portion of the year. I started to fill our living room and bedroom knowing we spend most of our time there<\/p>\n

However, one of the rooms that can potentially have the worst air quality is the bathroom. Its high humidity makes it perfect for many tropical plants and coincidently this is one of the best places for a lot of houseplants and indoor plants<\/strong> because most are tropical<\/p>\n

The high humidity levels are just perfect for a lot of houseplants and it has become one of my favorite places to decorate with plants.<\/p>\n

I started with a snake plant in a basket near the shower. snake plants are so easy to take care of generally and by nature of the humid environments of the shower, they are virtually maintenance-free! I once forgot to water it for well over a month!<\/p>\n

Air plants place in a bowl on your vanity or behind the toilet look amazing and give a sort of desert minimalist vibe. The pale colors are great for those looking for a subtle aesthetic. They are a great option for small bathrooms and if you are concerned about overwhelming your space.<\/p>\n

Spider plants and the best plants for a room that has the potential of sometimes being neglected. They are probably one of the hardest plants to kill in my opinion<\/p>\n

The Boston fern is native to sub-tropical areas, and a humid bathroom with indirect sunlight provides is perfect. Ferns also do well in a bright room with natural light and amazing detoxifiers!<\/p>\n

Probably my favorite bathroom decor plants are pothos plants. <\/strong>They look great in a hanging basket and one of my favorite bathroom plant ideas for plant interior design <\/strong>is to hang a golden pothos <\/strong>in a small window, it’s a great way to add a touch of privacy or obscure sometimes unsightly privacy glass.<\/p>\n

If your bathroom space doesn’t have a bathroom window or is a dark bathroom and does not have natural bright light do not worry. TI simply replaces some bulbs with grow lights. You have so many options to manage light levels without the traditional purple\/red hue of older sty grow lights.<\/p>\n

Many people get overwhelmed by keeping house plants but if you can imitate the plant’s natural environment by replicating the natural habitat of the plant your life and the plant life are going to be way easier. The bathroom is a perfect spot if you are new to house plants because the warm temperatures and humid air and plenty of moisture provided by a steamy shower is one of the best ways an easy solution to create a perfect environment with low maintenance<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
